Production Planner
Date Hired: 5/3/04

Currently, I work in manufacturing as a production planner and buyer.  In this role, I manage and direct manufacturing activities to ensure a high level of product availability and customer service. I manage both component inventory levels and finished goods inventory.  I also work with our suppliers on inventory constraints, lead time, and inventory levels.

I enjoy working for Victaulic because it is a place with excellent growth potential and where hard work and dedication is considerably recognized. I also enjoy working for Victaulic because even though we are a larger company, Victaulic still has a small company culture.  Victaulic is a company where you can start and end your career.

I began my career at Victaulic in the Rotational Engineering Program that has provided me with experience in manufacturing engineering, foundry engineering, quality assurance, project management, and production supervision.  Currently, I am working as a Project Engineer where I provide standardized process solutions with tangible cost savings for foundry process inefficiencies.

Victaulic has provided challenging opportunities with an eclectic mix of project work.  In the effort to build a well-rounded team, Victaulic encourages employees to fully develop their skills within a variety of disciplines.  This strategy ensures that my days are not monotonous and consistently full of learning opportunities.

As a graduate with a B.S. in Supply Chain Management, I completed the Supply Chain Rotational Program at Victaulic and am now an International Logistics Manager.  The supply chain rotational program provides employees with the opportunity to work in various areas of the company to gain experience and a solid understanding of Victaulic's processes.

In my first rotation, I was a production planner in the foundry and then moved into manufacturing where I was the planner for fire safety valves, machined fittings, and large diameter couplings.  I was then transferred into the Global Logistics department where I have been managing multiple projects.

Each year as the company continues to grow, I see a future with many opportunities.  I have met an incredible group of people at Victaulic and look forward to what the future may bring.
