Barrick Darlot Gold Mine
Barrick Darlot recently installed Aquamine in their underground mine as a means of pumping excess mine water back up to the surface which is then distributed to settling ponds which helps to remove any solids such as cuttings and waste rock. The water is then re-used below ground for applications such as drill rigs and dust suppression. The Aquamine system allowed Barrick to safely install a piping system without the need for any hot works or power requirements underground. Aquamine was also quick and easy to install and reduced both the man hours and labor required to effectively complete the installation process. Using Aquamine transition couplings Barrick was also able to transition from grooved steel pipe to the PVC Aquamine system.
