Victaulic Grooved Mechanical Pipe-Joining Systems in 9/11 Memorial Featured in Contractor
The May issue of Contractor featured an article describing how Victaulic mechanical pipe-joining systems were used throughout the 9/11 Memorial. Contractors 4J’s Plumbing & Heating Corp., Fresh Meadow Mechanical Corp. and KSW Inc. opted to use Victaulic mechanical pipe-joining solutions for the job to accommodate the on-site space limitations and tight construction schedule. Victaulic Advanced Groove System (AGS) and Victaulic QuickVic installation-ready couplings helped reduce installation time on-site. In addition, the use of Victaulic products allowed for ease of maintenance, accommodation of thermal movement, and prefabrication, which minimized material handling on site.
