Maritime / Industrial Sales Engineer - Asia

The Victaulic Maritime / Industrial Sale Engineer is responsible for profitably increasing the maritime and industrial market share for a given territory. This will be accomplished by a thorough understanding of: the maritime industry, industrial piping systems, and use of Victaulic products in those systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of maritime business in a given territory for all of the company's engineered products and solutions.
  • Conduct regular sales calls on shipyards, outfitters, shipowners, and other influences as required.
  • Support local Victaulic distributors.
  • Provide complete and accurate documentation of all sales activities to management.

 

Qualifications (education, experience and personal attributes):

  • Two to five years of outside sales experience, calling on the maritime industry with specific knowledge or background in one or more of the following industries preferred: HVAC, oil, municipal, or pipe, valve, & fittings industry.
  • A proven track record of success.
  • Self-starter, striving to be the best.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving.
  • Well-rounded individual with an outgoing personality who is a team player and enjoys working with people.
  • Evidence of the ability to interact effectively with shipyards, shipowners, and distributors to build long-term relationships.
  • Strong work ethic. Strong organizational and communication skills (ability to communicate in spoken & written English), above average mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interact with a diverse customer base.
  • A four year college degree in engineering, business or liberal arts preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 50%.
