Dallas Cowboys Stadium
In May 2009, construction was completed on the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas—home of the world renowned professional football team and, at the time of completion, the largest and most expensive sports stadium built in the United States. In order to meet the demanding construction schedule, the Victaulic grooved piping system was chosen for the chilled, condenser, heating, domestic and drain water systems throughout the stadium. In addition to standard Victaulic rigid and flexible couplings, as well as grooved fittings, the contractor, TD Industries, installed Victaulic Advanced Groove System (AGS) rigid and flexible couplings, grooved-end fittings and butterfly valves. The Victaulic AGS product line is designed specifically for piping systems 14-60"/350-1525 mm and features a two-piece housing design that requires only two bolts to install, substantially increasing on-site productivity.
