Marywood University
In February 2005, Marywood University began construction on a retirement village for the school’s retiring clergy. The project’s contractor selected the PermaLynx push-to-connect copper mechanical joining system for use on the structure’s domestic water service lines. By utilizing the PermaLynx System, which unlike sweat copper systems can be installed wet, installers were able to continue construction on the pipe work despite severe snow, ice and rain storms. Additionally, because of the PermaLynx System’s no-flame installation, pipe work could be routed through the rafters without the concern for fire hazards. “The PermaLynx System performed beyond our expectations on the project and its versatility allowed us to meet several challenges and change orders that normally would have required costly alterations and schedule delays,” said Dominic Yanuzzi, owner Yannuzzi, Inc. “And the sheer speed-PermaLynx can’t be matched.”
