Pioneer Natural Resources CGP 51
Pioneer Natural Resources Company is a large independent exploration and production company with operations in the United States and South Africa. In November, 2011 Pioneer Natural Resources completed construction on a new oil central gathering plant in Three Rivers, Texas. The facility was created as part of Pioneer’s initiative to develop it’s substantial acreage position in the Eagles Ford Shale Play in south Texas.
Prior to construction, Pioneer was looking for a piping solution that would allow installation to be completed quickly and efficiently and remain reliable without leaks. Victaulic products were chosen over threaded and welded systems after a total installed cost analysis. Victaulic Construction Piping Services (CPS) provided drawings to reduce job-site handling. Victaulic also provided other added benefits such as an installation time savings of over two weeks, long term maintenance advantages afforded by a union at every joint and cost savings achieved through labor reduction. The Victaulic products utilized on the load, dump and fill lines included the Style HP-70 rigid high pressure couplings, Series 726 Vic-Ball® valves and various fittings.
