Teck Highland Valley Copper Mine
In 1998, Teck required a reliable system to join compressed air reagent lines on their floatation cells. For this extremely aggressive application they turned to the Victaulic Stainless Steel Pressfit system for permanently joining small diameter piping. Pressfit delivered a flame free installation that was easy to install and required minimal rework. Unlike threaded systems used in the past, Pressfit has run trouble free for 12 years and has resulted in cost savings by eliminating compressed air loss due to air leaks.
