Warsaw Okecie Airport Renovation
Warsaw Chopin Airport, formerly Warsaw-Okecie Airport, is an international airport located in the Włochy district of Warsaw. Warsaw Chopin manages nearly 50% of Poland's air passenger traffic. Adding to its history of several renovations over a span of decades, the airport's North Pier Terminal recently underwent construction, with a particular focus on its existing cooling system.
Engineer, Pol-Con Consulting, specified Victaulic products for this job due to their reliability, and the speed and safety they provide during installation. Victaulic piping systems also provide a flame-free joining method, which assists in avoidingdangerous hot works at a fully operational airport. The Series 761 Vic-300 MasterSeal® butterfly valves worked to replace flanged valves, the Style 75 Flexible Couplings were installed to accommodate piping movement, and the Series 732 wye type Vic-Strainers were installed to ease future system maintenance. Additionally, Pol-Con Consulting specified the Series 7890 Double Regulating and Commissioning Valves with grooved ends to optimize the system performance and to achieve a hydronic balance between various circuits.
