City Wismar & Cape Mollini
STX Europe, formerly Aker Yards, is an international shipbuilding company based in Norway. As the largest shipbuilding company in Europe and the fourth-largest firm in the world, STX requires that all vessels meet the highest of global industry standards. In 2006, construction was completed on two containerships - Cape Mollini and City Wismar. Because Victaulic products meet stringent global approval standards, the Victaulic grooved pipe joining method was specified and installed on the ship’s galvanized carbon steel drinking water, sea cooling water and fire protection lines.
