BHP Billiton - Cliffs Nickel Mine
The BHP Billiton Cliffs project is a new development of an underground, narrow-vein nickel mine located in the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia. Victaulic was chosen for the underground Paste Fill piping system due to the high pressures associated with the project. For systems with pressures to 2500 psi/17235 kPa a single groove "ES" system is available. It also allowed for pipe to be installed underground without the need for any hot works and provided a rapid installation time reducing the construction time and amount of required labor.
