Chengdu Wangguo Data Center
EDC’s new Chengdu Wangguo Data Center, located in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, is the largest disaster recovery data center in Asia, and will act as a safe “data bank” in which enterprises and institutions can keep their data safe from losses or leaks. With an investment of over $239 million, the data center has received accreditation from China’s National “Code for design of electronic information system room”, LEED, ASHRAE, and has been designated as a Tier 3 data center.
When the new 120,000 meter Chengdu Data Center needed a dependable HVAC system, the contractor relied on Victaulic mechanical piping products. Victaulic flexible couplings and rigid couplings were used on galvanized steel pipe to construct the HVAC system quickly and easily. Moreover, the contractor and owner were concerned with future system maintenance downtime. Because Victaulic provides a union at every joint, system maintenance is fast and simple.
