Benefits of Victaulic Vortex™ Featured in Industrial Fire Journal

The April 2012 issue of Industrial Fire Journal featured an article highlighting the unique benefits provided by the Victaulic Vortex® fire suppression system. The hybrid technology delivers a high-velocity, low-pressure mix of nitrogen and water to remove the oxygen from the fire while cooling the hazard area. Keeping electronics dry and with no toxic agents in the mixture, this fire suppression system can be used in smaller fires as well as larger, heat-releasing fires in open space. Minimizing facility downtime, the nitrogen-water cylinders can be refilled on site or by a local gas supplier.

Industrial Fire Journal covers topics including oil, gas, chemical, power, marine and aviation. Its readers are fire chiefs and safety executives in more than 150 countries. Issues cover the latest news on developments in refinery and petrochemical firefighting, foams, powders and gels, training, hazardous materials, and decontamination.
