Benefits of Victaulic for piping system sound attenuation highlighted in Construction Canada
The July issue of Construction Canada featured a five-page contributed article by Tim Meadows, vice president and general manager for Victaulic in Canada, discussing the challenges surrounding noise and vibration in piping systems. Meadows describes the ways in which grooved piping systems and flexible couplings provide vibration isolation and effective sound attenuation, thus meeting these challenges. In addition to technical information, the article featured mini-case studies on several landmarks which include Victaulic for this purpose. The landmarks include the Winspear Centre in Edmonton and Shangri-La in Vancouver. Construction Canada is read by construction specification writers, architects, builders, developers, engineers and designers, and keeps readers abreast of business, technology and legal changes within the construction industry.
