The QuickVic™ SD Installation-Ready™ System was recognized for outstanding product design in the 16th annual Dealer Design Awards, sponsored by The Air Conditioning Heating & Refrigeration (ACHR) News magazine. The contest is judged by a panel of contractors who evaluate HVACR products based on qualities that ease installation, maintenance and service in the industry. Victaulic received a Gold Award in the HVAC Commercial Equipment category for their innovative QuickVic SD system for joining small diameter carbon steel pipe.
Chosen by the judges for its ease of installation and total installed cost savings, QuickVic SD products include patented “Leak-If-Not Tightened” technology (at initial installation) and pad-to-pad visual inspection. The system also allows contractors to use less expensive carbon steel pipe in systems 2” and under where copper would have been the necessary alternative. “As preferences for piping materials evolve, Victaulic is committed to offering its customers innovative solutions that reduce project costs, improve durability, and make installation and maintenance more efficient,” said Kurt Gobreski, vice president of product development at Victaulic. The Gold Award status proves that Victaulic has done just that in creating the QuickVic SD product line.
