Deluge fire sprinkler valves control the rapid release of water into a deluge sprinkler system. When triggered, the deluge valve releases a flood of water from the dedicated water supply tank into the empty pipe sprinkler system to be immediately dispensed through the open sprinkler heads. This large amount of water ultimately creates a torrential cascade, blanketing the affected area and suppressing the flames with incredible efficiency. For even larger potential hazards, that require more suppression coverage, water additives such as low-expansion foam can also be added, creating a deluge foam system.
