Victaulic Announces Joint Business Venture with Leading Global Producer of Hydraulic Water and Air Valve Technologies

NFSA 2015, April 30th to May 2nd (Booth #300) Victaulic, the world’s leading manufacturer of mechanical pipe-joining and fire protection systems, announces a joint business venture with Bermad, a leading global producer of hydraulic water and air valve technologies. The new business partnership, called Victaulic Bermad Technologies (VBT), will be based in Houston, Texas and will focus on select markets and applications, including commercial fire protection – expanding the Victaulic valve and device offering, in the U.S. and Canadian regions.

“As part of our ongoing commitment to bring more value to our customers, we are thrilled to embark on this new business venture with Bermad, a company that embodies the high standard of quality our customers have come to expect from Victaulic,” said Bob Freidl, Vice President of Sales and Market Development. “The goal of this initiative is to not only expand Victaulic’s existing valve and device offering in the commercial fire protection space, but to also create new system solution opportunities for the industry.”

The expansion of the Victaulic valve and device offering includes:

·       Pressure Control Valves (pressure relief and pressure reducing)

·       Deluge Valves (on/off controlled, industrial applications) allowing for remote resetting and constant preset downstream pressure (pressure control function in conjunction with deluge)

·       Remote and Level Control Valves

The industry will benefit from the combined technical and commercial expertise of the two companies, ensuring support is provided from start to finish.
