Three Ways to Show Employee Appreciation All Year Long

Today (March 2), companies across the nation will be celebrating Employee Appreciation Day. But truth be told, one day of appreciation simply isn’t enough. Read on to learn just three of the ways Victaulic celebrates and supports our employees year-round.

Commit to development

Victaulic values professional development – in fact, part of Victaulic’s global mission statement promises to “train and develop our employees and provide them with an environment that fosters growth and career satisfaction, and encourages them to challenge our processes.”

Victaulic is demonstrating our commitment to employees through a series of professional development classes, led by Talent Development Partner Rick Kerner. Rick will be visiting nine Victaulic branches across the U.S. throughout the year, focusing on “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” principles and teambuilding activities.

“These sessions show how Victaulic invests in our people,” says Rick. “The concepts are applicable to both professional and personal growth. Early responses indicate that the class was meaningful and enjoyable for participants, and they feel like what they learned will contribute to improved productivity.”

Show them you care

Employee health and wellness is at the forefront of Victaulic’s corporate culture.  As part of our award-winning benefits programs, Victaulic provides on-site nursing, wellness events, and counseling services to employees to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of our employees.

In 2018, Victaulic rolled out a lunchtime yoga class program, providing a break for mindfulness and exercise during the workday. “It’s great to see Victaulic investing in employee wellbeing in a unique way,” said Kristen Fistner, Market Research analyst. “Having opportunities like this remind me that Victaulic cares about our health!”

Invest in them

Victaulic’s educational assistance program is designed to help employees upgrade skills, improve performance, and grow professionally. Full-time employees can take up to two courses per semester with a full reimbursement. This program allows Victaulic employees to achieve their educational and professional goals without being saddled by the high cost of tuition.
